Wow! It's really easy to upload photos and to place them in a blog. Who knew? I think Flickr is an interesting tool and I can see that there may be several personal and professional uses for it. One thing folks at my library have already done is create a Flickr display of new books. Kind of Amazon-esque. I think it works pretty well - they take a photo of the "New Book Shelf" and gather commentaries from staff people. The trick is to keep it up to date.
After I posted this, I decided I didn't like the way the picture looked and tried to edit it in Flickr / Picnik. It took a while for Picnik to launch, but once it did, it was really easy to crop the image and tweak a few things. Unfortunately, it didn't automatically update my the picture in my blog, so maybe I'll try to figure out how to do that...
